Thankfully this only seems to work on mice… For now.  I’m not a neuroscientist, nor do I play one on TV, but I don’t think that dicking around with brain chemistry in order to induce a debilitating disorder is a good idea.  It’s not like you can take a pill and suddenly do differential equations in your head.  Savantism is a very rare side effect of certain varieties of autism and certainly can not be chemically induced.
