[Insert Witty Title Here]
Holy crap, 500 posts!
Actually, this is post 502, but I didn’t realize I was so close to a milestone number.  I started this blog over three years ago and I can’t believe I’ve kept with it this long.  Here’s to another 500 cut-and-paste + witty musings.  Maybe by then my daily page views will have hit double-digits.

Today’s buzzword is “Synergy”

Now when I make a new post on http://chipandre.com, it (should) automatically update my twitter feed, which automatically updates my Facebook profile and Google Buzz.  Finally no more posting to three different places.  Lets see if this works…

Fun with Themes

As this site creeps up on its second birthday (already!?  They grow up so fast!), I’ve decided to shake things up a bit and go with a new theme.  Well, not a new theme, but new to me.  I went through all 98 options on Tumblr’s Theme Garden, and this was the best I could find.  I must say, once you weed out the boring generic-black-text-on-white and oppressively hip “art” themes, there isn’t much left.  If you’re one of the 3 people who actually reads this page regularly, this shold hopefully be a pleasant change.  If you’re one of the 8(?!) people who found this page via a Google search for “pope benedict is a jackass”, then this probably doesn’t affect you at all.

New Domain Name - http://chipandre.com

I finally broke down and bought my name - chipandre.com.  This should save me from having to pay some squatter a small fortune in the event I ever become famous.  You may update your bookmarks, or not, since chip.tumblr.com still redirects here.

The domain name change seems to have wiped the comments again, but since they still exist in my Disqus account I am hopeful that they can be restored.

New And Improved Comments

I’ve switched to a much better and simpler (I don’t have to manually add code to every fracking post) comment system. Despite the fact that hardly anybody reads this tumblelog, or that those who do read it don’t bother commenting, or that I hardly ever post anything to read or comment on, I’m happy about the change.

The only down side is that I’ve disabled the old comment system.  Sadly, the old comments (all 5 of them) are no longer available.

Hit Me With Your Best Shot

Tumblr is great for a lot of reasons, but the one thing they’re lacking is a comment system. It has been “in progress” for a while but frankly I’m tired of waiting. I’m enabling comments with a Haloscan script until Tumblr gets their shit together. This system requires that I manually add the comments link to each post, so I’m only going back and adding them for the last couple days.

Fire away.
