DIY Coilgun is Fracking Sweet!
This guy spent about 40 hours and ~$130 building what has to be the sweetest looking coilgun I’ve ever seen.  Shoots a 42g slug at about 100fps after an 8s charge from household current, or about 40s from a battery.  More pictures here. (via Engadget)

Nikko’s R2-D2 projector abducted by Jawas - on sale this fall | Engadget
When Kikko premiered it at CES, everyone figured this 1/2 scale R2D2 DLP projector with built-in DVD player was just a one-off promotional display. Well start saving your pennies because in a couple months you can actually buy one of the 1000 limited R2s for a bit over $3k.  (via Engadget)

Temperature Controlled Faucet Light
This is not the first time I’ve seen this concept, but this is the first time I’ve seen it for less than several thousand dollars.
For $22 I’m tempted to get one.  (via Digg)

ThinkGeek :: LED Art Fan
Dear sweet jeebus, this is the coolest fan EVAR. 42 LEDs and 5mb of storage allow you to show off up to 128 individual 85x85 images or even make animations. $400 is about 4x what I could even consider paying for it, but now that it’s out there I’m sure some Chinese factory will start pumping out cheap knockoffs.  (via Boingboing)

X-keys Stick by P.I. Engineering
Oh man, I love me some extra buttons. My Logitech G15 is pretty sweet with it’s 18 extra function keys, but sometimes thats still not enough. This X-Keys product looks like just the thing to up my custom key count. Too bad they want to rape you to the tune of $100 for what should be a $20 device. I guess they’re going after the professional market, based on their other (equally cool) products. (via Engadget)
