I didn’t play the first Saints Row, but I can appreciate a quality game. Saints Row 2 looks to be an even more fun title - following in the same vein of being “Grand Theft Auto, if Grand Theft Auto didn’t take itself so seriously.” The comparison is so obvious, they even make it the primary focus of this trailer.
This nine minute lecture on sex in video games in probably the most intelligent and entertaining clip on Youtube (not that that’s saying much). Professor Daniel Floyd’s theory is that video games need to portray sex more often, and more realistically if the medium is to advance as an art form. I tend to agree. (via Boingboing)
I’ve seen some impressive SMB custom levels, but this one takes the cake. I can’t even begin to imagine the time and effort that went into syncing the in-game sound effects with the (awesome) original background music. (via Kotaku by way of Digg)
Pole Dancing Game In The Works For Nintendo Wii
I’ve never much liked the Wii. I find the controls gimicky and the games lacking depth. However, if the proposed game “Electra-Pole” ever sees the light of day I may have to revise my opinion. One must wonder though, what’s next? Samus Strip Tease? Lap Dance Revolution? The possibilities are endless. (via Digg)
OK, I haven’t posted anything in a while, but I’m making up for it with gratuitous sex and violence. GTA IV comes out today and it looks like it’s jam packed with everything that makes GTA good.
In related news, deranged asshat Jack Thompson has donned his tinfoil lawyering hat and demanded that anybody who has even though about buying, selling, or being in the same room with GTA IV be hung from a fucking yardarm. Lt. Caffey doesn’t think the navy still hangs people from yardarms, but that’s not stopping Jack “Won’t somebody please think of the children!?” Thompson.
